COWBELLY WORKSHOPS RATES + CONTENT

Seattle 3.5-day Workshop: Fees will be set when 2012 workshops are scheduled in January of 2012. Past fees for 3-4 day workshops have been between $1495-$1695.

Workshop Fee includes instruction both in a classroom setting and in the field over the course of 3.5 days (see below for workshop content), 70-page workbook filled with information and exercises including 6 extra guides on things like pricing and portfolio building, resource CD loaded with forms, vendor links and contracts, special offers from sponsors, fun goody bags, yummy and lunch and snacks Friday through Sunday.

Workshop fees do not include lodging, travel to and from workshop location or other incidentals.

Lodging is available at Hotel Max under a group booking code for around $150/night. You can also elect to share your room with another attendee. Please contact Jamie if you'd like to share your room.

RATES TERMS:

The full Registration Fee is due at the time of registration to guarantee your space in the workshop.

We request that all payments be made via credit or debit card through paypal (no need to have an account), but if you feel more comfortable mailing a check we can arrange for that. Please note that your space is not guaranteed until your full Registration Fee is received.

Refund/Cancellation Terms:

If you withdraw more than 6 weeks prior to the Workshop start date, the full Registration Fee will be refunded less a $500 non-refundable deposit. You may elect to sell your space in the workshop to another photographer *upon approval* of that person by Jamie. In this case you will receive your full Registration Fee less a $150 processing fee. Under no circumstances will refunds be available once the Workshop has begun.

Photography: tips, tricks and how-to’s when it comes to photographing pets on location. Group shooting + observe Jamie do a mock client shoot.

Marketing: how to market your business to get clients and book shoots.

Branding: how to define the look, feel and ‘style’ of both your photography and your business. How to set yourself apart.

Advertising: options for paid forms of marketing and costs and benefits of each.

Business basics: business names, tag lines, elevator speeches, and mission statement.

Web Stuff: how to pick the best website and what the pros and cons are of flash vs. html.

SEO: optimize your website for the search engines so you can be found by clients.

Expenses: what you need to spend your money on, and what can wait.

Working with clients: spotting red and yellow flags, picking the best clients to work with, how to provide outstanding customer service.

Portfolio building: the best process to use when setting up a business and starting out.

Pricing: how to price your products and services to be profitable.

Sales: different options for selling your products in order to maximize revenue.

Legal needs, contracts + important forms: how to protect yourself as a business owner, and what forms you need on a daily basis.

Booking shoots + client process: step-by-step what you need to do from the initial call to the final delivery of products.

Editing/post-processing: how to make your images shine with Photoshop and Lightroom.

Workflow: importing, arranging and archiving images for best long-term organization.

Equipment needs/gear overview: what you really need for pet photography in regards to lenses and bodies.

We will have time at the end of each day for Q&A, and you will have plenty of space in your workbook to take notes and write questions each day. Expect to go home exhausted but exhilarated at the end!

End of the workshop: goodbye's hugs, tears, and phone number and email exchanges!
